Recognize Promise was inspired by the lives of two women. Its efforts continue because there are so many more people that also face challenges. Whether you have a child, friend, parent, student, patron, or other person in your life who needs more information about disabilities, Recognize Promise will hopefully point you in the right direction.

Although our focus is currently on Iowa, we will be expanding as time permits. All of this work is being done by three Library and Information Sciences graduate students. Any suggestions you have for resources are appreciated. Please be sure to check out our Discussion Forum and post questions or responses to help other users, librarians or others, to better understand and serve those special people in our lives that live life in a different way.
